The Ramp Operations Supervisor will support the Ramp Manager in the daily management of the Ramp Team. You will be tasked with organizing and distributing personnel and resources to meet our service expectations for our airline partners. Your role will ensure that our ground handling services are executed safely, punctually, and consistently in accordance with the established service level standards for both timeliness and station performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operational performance, safety, security, and customer satisfaction of services through effective management of the delivery area. Consistently provide the highest level of customer service. Ensure that the airline's services are delivered reliably and meet demanding service level standards and punctuality targets. Proactively plan and take ownership of tasks. Safeguard the proper management of all resources on the ramp. Adhere to all Ground Handling Regulations set by airlines and local airport authorities. Offer support, guidance, and encouragement to team members. Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols as outlined in the Menzies Health & Safety Policy Manual and international aviation standards. Protect the health, safety, and welfare of staff, customers, and visitors in accordance with the Company's Health & Safety Policy. Address any inquiries or concerns in a professional and confident manner. Foster a culture of open reporting. Conduct thorough investigations into any incidents, non-conformities, or service failures, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate closely with GSE personnel to ensure effective management of ground support equipment, including defect reporting and inspections. Prevent any misuse of Company property.

Qualifications and Experience:

Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience. Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in Canada. Valid Driver's license and DA required. Proven capability to lead, mentor, and develop team members. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy, capable of working independently to meet deadlines and addressing challenges efficiently. Extensive background in Ramp Handling with a solid understanding of operational departments. Knowledgeable about the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement. Familiar with GOMs, airline procedures, airport protocols, and regulations. Well-versed in international aviation safety and security standards, with a commitment to promoting these within the organization. Driven to meet customer expectations through excellence in service delivery. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including interaction with customers, airport representatives, local CAA, and third-party providers. Ability to develop team capabilities, provide succession planning, and adapt business processes as needed. Skilled in driving improvement initiatives and ensuring follow-up processes. Capable of identifying productivity efficiencies and adjusting operational demands based on station dynamics. Adaptable to working with a diverse workforce and collaborating effectively with local unions. Proficient in producing detailed reports for senior management. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with employees, management, customers, and external organizations. Flexible to adapt to changing demands, circumstances, and weather conditions. Calm and approachable demeanor. Knowledge of local labor laws is advantageous. Must be available and flexible to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Capable of lifting up to 70lbs when necessary. Must be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
