Ramp Training Supervisor

Position Overview:
Role Summary:
The Ramp Training Supervisor is accountable for delivering both initial and ongoing training to foster a culture centered on safety within the organization. This role involves coordinating and executing training sessions that align with the service expectations of our airline partners, ensuring that ground handling operations are conducted safely and punctually through adherence to established policies and proactive auditing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and facilitate initial and ongoing training sessions
- Oversee and manage Aircraft Loading (SAL) Training
- Conduct Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Training
- Uphold a professional appearance by adhering to Company Uniform Standards
- Ensure the safe management of all resources on the Ramp
- Adhere to Airlines Ground Handling Regulations
- Support corporate compliance with Health and Safety Regulations
- Report any violations of statutory requirements or company best practices to management
- Maintain compliance with government, customer, and company policies
- Travel to various Stations as necessary
- Obtain and maintain Airport security clearance
Qualifications and Skills:
- Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver's license and Transport Canada Security Clearance
- Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Bilingual in English and French
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in ramp operations
- High school diploma accompanied by 2 years' experience in a Lead/Supervisor or Training capacity
- Prior experience as a Ramp lead with a satisfactory safety and performance record
- Certified trainer or completion of a relevant training program
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Capacity to work extended hours on short notice
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Comprehensive understanding of ground handling operations and safety protocols
- Able to obtain necessary security clearances
- Familiarity with GSE maintenance and airport operations
- Physically capable of lifting up to 70lbs when required
