Embark on a Rewarding Journey as a Trauma Support Specialist with Family Services of Greater Vancouver
For over nine decades, Family Services of Greater Vancouver has been a pillar of support for individuals facing crises. We are in search of a dedicated Trauma Support Specialist to become a vital part of our team, committed to delivering empathetic assistance to children, youth, and families affected by trauma.
Role Overview:
- Deliver trauma-informed therapeutic services to children and adolescents who have encountered traumatic experiences.
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, conduct assessments, provide referrals, and offer parenting guidance.
- Work collaboratively with other service providers while applying feminist and anti-oppressive methodologies.

Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in trauma counselling.
- Specialized training in trauma-informed care and play therapy techniques.
Additional Criteria:
- Must be registered with a recognized professional counselling organization.
- Completion of a Criminal Record Check is required.
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination status is mandatory.
