About the Role

MindRight Counselling & Consulting Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Web Technician - Network Administration to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to ensure seamless network operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Provide expert problem-solving services to network users, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and sensitive information.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform routine network start-up and close-down, maintain control records, and execute data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Infrastructure Development: Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, and implement network traffic and security monitoring software to optimize server performance.
  • Web Development: Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Technical Leadership: Supervise technical staff and provide guidance on best practices and new technologies.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in network administration and technical leadership.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, initiative, judgement, organized, and a team player.
Work Environment
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
