Job Summary

Humber River Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdomen, obstetrics and gynecology, small parts, vascular Doppler, musculoskeletal, and breast imaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all general ultrasound duties, including abdomen, O.B./gyn., small parts, vascular Doppler, MSK, and breast imaging.
  • Prepare and assess patients for ultrasound exams, including confirming exam validity based on patient history.
  • Complete exam process by image review, completing sonographer impression sheets, confirming documentation, and presenting to radiologists for reporting via PACS.

Requirements

  • Must be registered or in the process of obtaining registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Must have Personal Liability Insurance (PLI).
  • Accredited college diploma preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with all aspects of ultrasound preferred.
  • Previous US experience within a hospital setting preferred.
  • Strong documentation skills required.
  • Excellent knowledge of anatomy required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a group environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have good teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline-free record required.
