Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a Carton Production Specialist to join our Finishing Department. This role is integral to our production line, where you will alternate between feeding cartons into gluing machines and catching finished products for packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in manual labor tasks within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, adhering to strict production timelines.
  • Ensure the gluing machinery is consistently supplied with the correct cartons.
  • Handle stacks of cartons from pallets and load them into the gluer machine.
  • Monitor the quality of cartons being fed into the machinery, reporting any malfunctions or quality concerns.
  • Remove completed cartons from the press and pack them into cases, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Label corrugated cases accurately and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
  • Participate in basic maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies diligently.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operation setting is advantageous.
  • Willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand/power tools are preferred.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and dexterity are essential.
  • Ability to maintain pace in a high-speed production environment.
  • Basic proficiency in English for effective communication.
  • Basic computer and math skills are required.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong attendance record.
  • Availability for a rotating shift schedule is necessary.
