Job Title: Feeder Catcher (Production Line)

We are seeking a skilled Feeder Catcher to join our Finishing Department in our folding carton manufacturing plant. As a Feeder Catcher, you will be responsible for feeding flat cartons into gluing machines and removing finished products from the press and packing them into cases.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform manual labor duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while working under tight production deadlines.
  • Feed flat cartons into gluing machines and ensure proper carton quality.
  • Remove finished products from the press and pack them into cases.
  • Perform quality checks on cartons according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Apply correct case labels to corrugated cases.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the area and perform basic preventative care and troubleshooting of machinery/equipment.
  • Safely perform all tasks on and around the machinery/equipment.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in ongoing training.
Requirements and Experience:
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing or machine operations is preferred.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools are preferred.
  • Strong dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to maintain production pace are required.
  • English language knowledge ability – speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • Basic computer skills – reading computer screen.
  • Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time with frequent twisting.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Routine lifting and occasional heavy lifting.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent attendance record.
  • Available to work Weekly Rotational Shift schedule.
  • Must be both familiar and able to adhere to company safety policies and government legislation (i.e., Occupational Health and Safety Act).
