Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Feeder and Catcher to join our Finishing Department in a manufacturing/industrial setting. As a Feeder and Catcher, you will be responsible for feeding flat cartons into gluing machines and removing finished folded cartons from the press and packing them into cases.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Perform manual labor duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while working under tight production deadlines.
  2. Feed flat cartons into gluing machines, ensuring the correct carton is being used.
  3. Remove finished folded cartons from the press and pack them into cases, maintaining quality control.
  4. Observing machine malfunctions and notifying the Adjuster of any issues.
  5. Maintaining the cleanliness of the area, removing stray cartons, and performing other tasks as assigned.
  6. Performing basic preventative care and troubleshooting of machinery/equipment.
  7. Safely performing all tasks on and around the machinery/equipment.
  8. Following all company policies and procedures, and attending ongoing training.
Requirements and Experience
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing or machine operations is preferred.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools are preferred.
  • Strong dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to maintain production pace are required.
  • English language knowledge ability, speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • Basic computer skills, reading computer screen.
  • Basic math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent twisting.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Routine lifting and occasional heavy lifting.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent attendance record.
  • Available to work Weekly Rotational Shift schedule.
