Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing individualized therapeutic recreation treatment interventions and programs for residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized therapeutic recreation treatment interventions and programs based on resident needs and abilities.
  • Conduct comprehensive therapeutic recreation assessments for new residents and reassess as needed.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document resident participation and progress.
  • Collaborate with the Recreation Coordinator to plan and implement recreation programs.
  • Provide education and guidance to residents, families, and volunteers as required.
  • Maintain a safe environment for residents, families, volunteers, and staff.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy.
  • Three years' recent, related experience in Geriatrics.
  • Eligible for membership with the B.C. Therapeutic Recreation Association (BCTRA).
  • Current certificate in First Aid and CPR Level C.
  • FoodSafe Level 1.
