Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Activity Worker/Bus Driver at Fraser Health. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of our residents and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of social and recreational programs for residents and clients, including group and individual activities, outings, and events.
  • Operate a passenger transportation vehicle with a seating capacity of between 11 and 25 passengers, including the driver, to transport residents and clients to community outings and events.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to activity programs, vehicle maintenance, and resident participation.
  • Collaborate with the Recreation Therapist and other team members to develop and implement program plans and activities.
  • Provide input and feedback on program activities and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in team conferences, staff meetings, and in-service education to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of recognized recreational courses, such as handicrafts, or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Class IV Driver's License (unrestricted) and/or Class III Driver's License with air brake endorsement, as required.
  • Food Safe Certification 1.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
