Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will undertake a range of medical office assistant and administrative tasks, including:

  • Patient registration, including the scheduling and confirmation of appointments
  • Handling phone calls, managing correspondence, maintaining records, and processing medical billings
  • Data entry, word processing, and utilizing graphic and database applications
  • Compiling and entering statistical data
  • Drafting correspondence, including recording, transcribing, and typing various forms
  • Balancing and verifying revenue transactions
  • Managing medical and surgical supplies, equipment, and other resources
  • Escorting patients to examination and treatment areas, ensuring that necessary instruments and supplies are prepared
  • Assisting with sensitive examinations and routine measurements, such as weight and BMI calculations
  • Cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment, as well as managing the delivery and disposal of supplies
Application Requirements:

Interested candidates should submit the following:

  • A current Typing Test with a minimum of 40 wpm, completed within the last 24 months from an accredited institution
  • A Medical Office Assistant Certificate
  • A valid BC Driver's License
  • A detailed Resume
