In this position, you will undertake a range of medical office assistant and administrative tasks, including:
- Patient registration, including the scheduling and confirmation of appointments
- Handling phone calls, managing correspondence, maintaining records, and processing medical billings
- Data entry, word processing, and utilizing graphic and database applications
- Compiling and entering statistical data
- Drafting correspondence, including recording, transcribing, and typing various forms
- Balancing and verifying revenue transactions
- Managing medical and surgical supplies, equipment, and other resources
- Escorting patients to examination and treatment areas, ensuring that necessary instruments and supplies are prepared
- Assisting with sensitive examinations and routine measurements, such as weight and BMI calculations
- Cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment, as well as managing the delivery and disposal of supplies
Interested candidates should submit the following:
- A current Typing Test with a minimum of 40 wpm, completed within the last 24 months from an accredited institution
- A Medical Office Assistant Certificate
- A valid BC Driver's License
- A detailed Resume
- A Cover Letter outlining your availability for a new position
