About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant at The Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Meal Service: Serve meal trays and assist patients with eating and drinking.
  • Mobility and Transfers: Help patients move around and transfer between beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain patients' rooms and common areas, including making beds and changing linens.
  • Medication Administration: Assist with administering medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
Work Environment

As a Healthcare Assistant at The Good Samaritan Society, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing high-quality patient care. You will be required to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
