Care Director

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Care Director to join our team at Jarlette Health Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of optimum care to promote the well-being of each individual resident.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Assess, implement, evaluate, report, and document actions to affect positive outcomes related to the residents' health
* Ensure nursing staff perform assigned tasks and duties
* Coordinate, implement, and manage Home-wide programs such as skin care, behaviour management, infection control, back care, CQI/Risk Management, palliative care, quality of life, and health and safety
* Ensure accurate completion of resident records reflecting resident health status and care provided, complying with legislative and Home requirements
* Participate in the orientation process for residents, students, volunteers, and nursing personnel

**Requirements**

* Must be registered with a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario - O. Reg. 246/22, s. 51
* Successful completion of or enrollment in Long Term Care Senior Management or equivalent
* 2 years of experience in Long Term Care (Gerontology) preferred
* Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
* Must be computer literate
