Personal Care Assistant Role

As a vital member of our team at YARROW LIMITED PARTNERSHIP, you will play an essential role in providing compassionate care to our residents.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college or CEGEP program, or a non-university certificate or diploma lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 month and up to 7 months of relevant experience.
Work Environment

Your work will primarily take place in a nursing home or a facility dedicated to the elderly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including managing bedpans.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Support residents during meal times, including feeding assistance.
  • Facilitate patient mobility through lifting, turning, and repositioning.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within residents' living spaces.
  • Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing and grooming.
  • Transport residents safely using wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Respond promptly to residents' call signals.
  • Provide basic first aid when necessary.
Essential Requirements
  • Possession of a valid Health Care Aide Certificate.
