Position Overview

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university certificate or diploma program lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year.
Work Environment

This role is primarily situated in a nursing home or senior care facility, where you will engage with residents and contribute to their daily well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support patients by serving meals and providing feeding assistance as necessary.
  • Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Help with mobility by lifting, turning, and positioning patients as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and bedding.
  • Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers safely.
  • Respond to patient call signals to address their needs promptly.
  • Provide first aid in emergency situations when necessary.
Certifications and Licenses

Applicants must possess a Health Care Aide Certificate and undergo a criminal record check, along with providing immunization records.

Experience

A minimum of 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience is preferred.
