Patient Flow Operations Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Patient Flow Operations Leader at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care services within our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure adequate staffing levels to meet patient census.
- Coordinate hospital and bed utilization activities in the absence of hospital administration.
- Work collaboratively with patients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners, and service providers to address challenges and improve patient outcomes.
- Exhibit sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the framework and objectives of the Health Services Program and the Mission, Vision, and Strategic Direction of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
- Minimum of three years medical/surgical experience or equivalent in an acute care setting.
- Minimum of two years' nursing management experience.
- BCLS required.
- ACLS is an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership, planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relations in dealing with patients, visitors, and other health professionals.
- Ability and knowledge to match utilization needs to resources available.
- Ability to perform duties that involve lifting, bending, and stretching.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
- $40.15 - $53.34 hourly.
- Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
