Restaurant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Strong & Free Food Theory Inc o/a Camino Taco. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food is prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Revenue Management: Monitor revenues to determine labour costs and make informed decisions to optimize profitability.
  • Staff Scheduling: Set staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and minimize overtime.
  • Service Offerings: Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure seamless execution.
  • Cash Handling: Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Cost Control: Cost products and services to ensure that we are getting the best value for our customers.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that we have the necessary supplies to meet customer demand.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to ensure the best prices and quality.
  • Marketing: Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote our restaurant and attract new customers.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operations Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure that our restaurant runs smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliable, and a team player.
