Reporting to the Mobile Mechanical Supervisor, the successful applicant will undertake a comprehensive range of maintenance, repair, and service tasks on heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct performance checks on mobile mining machinery and perform inspections to identify faults; Execute equipment removal, installation, alignment, troubleshooting, and repairs; Utilize computerized and other diagnostic tools to assess faults or malfunctions and determine necessary repairs; Demonstrate a solid understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics; Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective components using hand and power tools; Test repaired machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications; Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication; Carry out repair work on heavy-duty trucks; Attach components and adjust new machinery as required; Open work orders, source parts, and complete parts lists using available resources; Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Mobile Mechanical Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven ability to diagnose, repair, maintain, and overhaul mobile mining equipment; A minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience in underground mining environments; Candidates with Ontario or inter-provincial trade qualifications are preferred; Accreditation in underground common core modules is required; Additional accreditation in specialty modules is advantageous; A strong commitment to safety practices; Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Schedule: 10-hour shifts with a rotating schedule.
