Packet Core Network Specialist

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled EPC Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Freedom Mobile. As a key member of our network operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of our wireless data core platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Infrastructure Management: Monitor, configure, and maintain our network infrastructure to ensure service level agreements are met.
- Packet Core Network Operations: Manage day-to-day Packet Core Network operations duties, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- On-Call Responsibilities: Handle on-call responsibilities for incidents on a 24x7 rotation basis.
- Emergency Network Issues: Work on emergency network issues to ensure minimal disruption to our services.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor and resolve alerts and trouble tickets to deliver an exceptional customer experience service.
- Network Performance Analysis: Enhance the reliability of the network through proactive performance, operational data analysis, and the adoption of service improvement suggestions.
- Packet Core Network Configuration: Review, modify, and execute changes to Packet Core network configurations.
- Service Impact Analysis: Conduct end-to-end service impact analysis before and after any modification or change.
- Node Performance Analysis: Conduct end-to-end node performance analysis before and after any modification or change.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multiple support teams during change deployments and other operational activities.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain technical documentation and share knowledge with the team to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Minimum of 6 to 10 years of relevant technical hands-on working experience on Packet Core network.
- Packet Core Experience: Must have Packet Core working experience.
- Cloud and Linux Experience: Must have working experience on Kubernetes, OpenStack, and different cloud solutions, as well as Linux system management.
- Network Troubleshooting: Excellent network troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Education and Certification
- Education: B.Sc in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification: Cloud and Linux certification preferred.
