Job Title: Senior Network Analyst, Telecommunications

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Analyst, Telecommunications to join our team at Radio Canada International. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and improving our Telephony network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Proactively monitor network logs and alarms to ensure the health and stability of our Telephony network infrastructure.
  2. Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and infrastructure-related problems as they relate to Telephony.
  3. Root Cause Analysis: Provide root cause analysis on any telephony outage or issue.
  4. Network Documentation: Work closely with senior staff to document troubleshooting procedures and network statistics.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal clients and stakeholders to provide timely and effective communication and support.

Requirements:

  1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or college diploma in computer science or other relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of proven experience in network operations or a related field.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Cisco Internetworking, Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR, and NX-OS, as well as various network protocols such as IP, TCP, UDP, FTP, ARP, QoS, VoIP, OSPF, DNS, Spanning-tree, ECMP, VPC, 802.1q, 802.3ad, GRE.
  3. Avaya Telephony Products: Proficiency in Avaya CS1000, MG1010, and other Avaya Telephony products.
  4. Cloud Computing and Virtualization: Proficiency in cloud computing and virtualization concepts.
  5. Network Monitoring Systems: Proficiency in network monitoring systems and technologies such as SNMP, NETFLOW, IP SLA.
  6. Packet Analysis: Proficiency in packet analysis using tools such as Wireshark and Netscout.
  7. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal clients and stakeholders.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, and to be on call 24/7 on a rotating basis.
