Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at EMCO Corporation. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, generating sales leads, and closing sales to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide sales support to customers via telephone, email, and in-person at our Profit Center
- Answer customer inquiries, generate sales leads, and close sales to increase profit sharing
- Assist customers with purchases, answer phone calls, and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
- Enter, pick, and pack sales orders, and manage inventory levels to ensure accurate stock levels
- Research products for customers, provide recommendations, and offer pricing and quotes
- Drive sales growth through counter merchandising, product promotion, and networking with customers
- Process returns and warranty claims, and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or counter sales
- Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills
- Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including email, data analysis, and customer contact files
- Ability to learn and operate software systems used to process orders
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks
- Intermediate math skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn material handling equipment, including Lift Trucks
- Previous experience with plumbing products sold at the Profit Center
- Ability to use the Internet for problem-solving and finding alternative solutions
- Experience using M3, Word, Excel, and Outlook
