As a Vice President of Investment Product & Advancement, you will be instrumental in shaping and refining the organization’s investment product portfolio.

Your role will encompass product innovation, strategic planning, and enhancing operational efficiency. You will collaborate with investment teams, sales distribution, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.

In your capacity as a senior team member, you will serve as the primary liaison between investment management, distribution, affiliate managers, and other internal and external business partners to influence the investment suite, engaging frequently with executive and senior leadership throughout the organization.

Product Strategy, Management, and Innovation: Take ownership, foster consensus, and harmonize strategic vision with tactical execution. Navigate adeptly between creativity and discipline in managing the product suite. Develop and present business cases for new investment products, including overseeing competitor analysis, market intelligence, and sizing. Engage with investment teams, sales distribution, and stakeholders to drive product innovation. Collaborate with portfolio managers/sub-advisors to evaluate the suitability of investment products within the firm’s investment platform and client portfolios.

Lead the product development team to conceptualize and design new investment products that align with client needs and strategic priorities.

Work collaboratively to manage the execution of launches from business acceptance through to delivery by effectively partnering with senior Operations, Finance, Distribution, and Marketing stakeholders to facilitate implementation.

Serve as a senior member of the team, including the management of junior and mid-level team members. Support sales, relationship management, and client service teams with client presentations and product updates.

Lead a team dedicated to developing and producing engaging content related to investment strategies, market insights, and financial products.

Collaborate within the team to communicate investment performance, fund updates, and regulatory changes (as necessary).
Risk Management and Compliance:
Comprehend the inherent risks associated with investment funds, including related investment strategies and securities. Stay abreast of industry trends, pricing, and regulatory changes that affect the competitiveness of existing solutions. Lead the team in proactively enhancing products and mitigating risks within the product suite.

A minimum of 7 years (10 years preferred) of experience in investment product development and/or global product structuring, with at least 3 years of experience in structuring alternative investment solutions (private and/or liquid).

Knowledge of S. and Europe-domiciled investment product-related vehicles, including a working knowledge of investment strategies and styles employed by fixed income, equity, and alternative portfolio managers, is essential.
Familiarity with pool fund trusts, limited partnerships, LLCs, offshore feeders, and UCITs is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of investment industry services and distribution channels is required.
People management experience is essential. A Bachelor's degree or MBA in Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields is required.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with advisor channels, managed account platforms, investment products, and capital markets.
