The Deputy Airport Operations Manager plays a crucial role in assisting the Airport Manager with the oversight, organization, and strategic direction of airport functions across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of airport operations in compliance with the Aeronautics Act and Canadian Aviation Regulations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of airport safety protocols, emergency planning, and operational regulations.
- Oversee contract management and ensure effective administration of airport-related agreements.
- Utilize technical expertise in airport maintenance to uphold regulatory standards and best practices.
- Engage in negotiations to safeguard airport interests while collaborating with tenants, contractors, and government entities.
- Exhibit strong human resource management capabilities to address the challenges associated with remote staffing.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that respects cultural diversity.
- Provide training and development for airport operations and maintenance personnel.
- Demonstrate proficiency in writing reports, contracts, and operational plans.
Qualifications
Typically, the qualifications for this role are achieved through:
- A bachelor's degree in airport management or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in airport operations, including supervisory roles.
