Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Service Worker to join our team at Selkirk Mental Health Centre. As a Service Worker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to patients, staff, and community partners by maintaining a clean environment, providing food service, and performing various tasks such as porter/laundry services, supply replenishment, equipment maintenance, transportation, and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service to patients, staff, and community partners
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Prepare and serve food
  • Perform porter/laundry services
  • Replenish supplies and maintain equipment
  • Provide transportation and security services
Requirements
  • Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required
  • Valid Class 5 Manitoba driver's license is desired
  • Ability to prioritize daily work and competing deadlines
  • Ability to work safely and operate equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of cleaning practices and equipment
  • Knowledge of food preparation and safety
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with varying shifts and weekends, including statutory holidays. The candidate must be physically able to perform heavy lifting or carrying, work on feet for eight (8) hour shifts, and work in varying environmental conditions.
