About the Role

The Sr. Supervisor, Inventory Management is a key position within L3Harris Technologies, responsible for overseeing all aspects of resource management for a team of material control professionals. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth flow of inventory from initial receipt to finished product delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Analyze, summarize, and review data to interpret results, report findings, and make recommendations to optimize inventory levels and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Resource Allocation: Contribute to the management of the organization's inventory, shipping, and receiving processes to ensure controls are in place to support corporate policies and procedures.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide critical financial information related to demand/build, inventory levels, and revenue to inform business decisions.
  • Inventory Control: Manage Inventory Control related tasks that support CMII, ensuring accurate and timely inventory management.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the organization as it relates to inventory levels in stock and work in progress.
  • Delivery Management: Monitor and review timely delivery of material in support of the production build plan, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Process Improvement: Create and roll out processes that ensure best practices are used in relation to inventory reduction, incorporating lean manufacturing concepts.
  • CI Initiatives: Support all Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives related to production control and material handling, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Inventory Cycle Count: Ensure the material team adheres to the inventory cycle count program and year-end WIP counts, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Departmental Measures: Set and evaluate department measures in accordance with QCS (Quality, Cost, and Schedule) standards.
  • Inventory Safety: Ensure the care, control, and safe storage of inventory is in place at all times, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Scrap Material Management: Manage scrap material and related material control processes, minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization.

Desired Qualifications

  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Operations Management or related field.
  • Leadership Experience: Track record of providing leadership and supervision to a materials team in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPIM Certification: CPIM Certification through APICS or equivalent is desired.
  • Master Scheduling Experience: Experience in a Master Scheduling role is a definite asset.
  • MRP and ERP Systems: 5+ years of experience using MRP and ERP systems.
