Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst II to join our Research Financial Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing accounting activities related to research grants, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing high-quality financial services to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with researchers, support staff, and funding agencies to oversee grant finances and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, and reports for stakeholders, including researchers, department heads, and external auditors.
- Analyze financial data and provide solutions to support decision-making processes, ensuring the effective management of research grants.
- Coordinate with partners and auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations, including grant agreements and funding agency requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Research Financial Services department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Experience in grant accounting or a related field, preferably in a healthcare or research setting.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Commitment to client service and problem-solving, with a focus on delivering high-quality financial services.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
