Aircraft Fueling Operations Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Aircraft Fueling Supervisor to join our team at Menzies Aviation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of fueling services to our airline customers.
Main Responsibilities- Assist the Station Manager in the day-to-day running of the Fueling team, coordinating and allocating staff and resources to meet service standards.
- Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of fueling operations, adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the GSE team to ensure effective GSE management, defect reporting, and GSE checks.
- Monitor and improve operational performance, identifying areas for efficiency and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and implement improvement plans, driving productivity and efficiency within the station.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting a culture of open reporting and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, airport authorities, and company policies.
- Process and investigate incidents, accidents, and non-conformities, implementing corrective actions to maintain high service standards.
- Proven leadership skills and experience, with a minimum of 18 years of age and legal ability to work in Canada.
- Valid driver's license and DA.
- Well-organized with attention to detail, able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Extensive experience in fuelling operations and good understanding of operational departments.
- Familiarity with GOMs, airline procedures, airport procedures, and airport legislations.
- Strong understanding of International Aviation Safety and Security standards.
- Ability to develop the team, provide succession planning, and re-engineer business processes.
- Ability to drive and deliver improvement plans and follow-up processes.
- Ability to identify productivity efficiency or inefficiency and tailor operational demand based on operational dynamics.
- Adaptability in working with a multinational workforce and collaborating with local working unions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on delivering high-quality fueling services to our airline customers. The successful candidate will be required to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, and must be able to lift up to 70lbs when required.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and the employee will be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
