The Superintendent of Schools is the Chief Executive Officer of the District, responsible for leading the organization and ensuring compliance with governance, legislation, and policy. This key leadership role requires a strong focus on building positive relationships with the Board of Education, community, and other partner groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to ensure compliance relating to governance, legislation, and policy.
  • Enhance relationships among all members of schools, the community, and the public.
  • Leverage data for decision-making and ensure the overall fiscal health and compliance of the District.
  • Set the tone for the District as a learning organization, responsible for leadership development and succession planning.

The ideal candidate will have experience and interest in decolonization and working with Indigenous communities. They will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to build positive relationships and lead the District towards a safe, caring, and healthy learning environment.
