The School District #68 (Nanaimo-Ladysmith) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to fill the role of Superintendent of Schools. As the Chief Executive Officer of the District, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the district, ensuring compliance with governance, legislation, and policy.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building positive relationships with the Board of Education, community, and other partner groups. They will be able to leverage data for decision-making and ensure the overall fiscal health and compliance of the District. Additionally, they will be responsible for leadership development and succession planning, setting the tone for the District as a learning organization.

The Superintendent will also be responsible for enhancing relationships among all members of schools, the community, and the public, and will be expected to provide leadership in decolonization and working with Indigenous communities.
