About the Role
Humber River Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Oncology team in our Cancer Clinic. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care to our Cancer patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to patients with cancer, including administering medications, fluids, and cancer treatments such as chemotherapy.
- Coordinate and deliver aspects of a patient's treatment, including communicating with patients and their families, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in Oncology clinical trials and contribute to the development of new treatments and care pathways.
- Work collaboratively with our Oncology team to provide a full range of support to patients at all phases of their cancer experience.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Experience working in Oncology or a related field.
- Completion of DeSouza Oncology courses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
