Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Oncology-Palliative Unit at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, education, and support to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cancer and palliative needs
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments, educate patients and families, and promote health and wellness
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Requirements:

  • Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized Community College
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Medication Certificate
  • One year recent experience in Medicine/General Surgery, preferred
  • Oncology/palliative care experience preferred
  • Bilingualism in French/English and asset
