About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cafeteria Cashier to join our team at SNB Ferry Cafe. As a Cafeteria Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient cash handling process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process customer transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Restock shelves with food and beverages, and maintain a clean and tidy counter area to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in programs that support newcomers and refugees, assist with their immediate settlement needs, and recruit individuals who were displaced by conflicts or natural disasters.
  • Support for Youths: Participate in programs that support youth employment, offer on-the-job training, and provide awareness training to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in programs that support Indigenous people, provide cultural competency training, and facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance.
