About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Restaurant Cashier to join our team at Kwantlen Pizza and Party Place. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Transactions: Accurately process customer payments, handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, and maintain a high level of cash handling accuracy.
  • Manage Inventory: Restock shelves, maintain a clean and organized counter area, and ensure that all merchandise is properly displayed and priced.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their needs, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Ensure that the dining area, kitchen, and restrooms are clean and well-maintained, and that all health and safety standards are met.
  • Work Effectively in a Fast-Paced Environment: Remain calm and composed under pressure, and work efficiently to meet the demands of a busy restaurant.
Requirements
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 Years of Experience: Previous experience in a food service or retail environment is preferred.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required for cash handling and inventory management.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment.
