Restaurant Equipment Service Specialist

Job Overview:
Ecolab is seeking a Service Equipment Technician to support our Institutional division, providing essential services to the foodservice and hospitality sectors. This role involves covering a designated territory, ensuring that our clients' equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your technical skills to install, troubleshoot, and maintain ware washing, laundry, and dispensing systems, fostering strong customer relationships.
- Conduct diagnostics and repairs on a variety of commercial kitchen and laundry appliances.
- Ensure safe operation of equipment, training customer teams to maintain optimal functionality.
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring accurate reporting of service activities.
- Maintain operational readiness of customer facilities through effective equipment use and training.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required; post-secondary education is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or similar fields.
- Flexibility to adapt work hours to meet customer needs.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
- Ability to travel for training and meetings as required.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be necessary for certain client locations.
Work Schedule:
The position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional weekend coverage required every other weekend, resulting in a shortened workweek during those periods.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
- Frequent bending, stretching, and twisting.
- Reaching above, at, and below shoulder level during installations.
- Occasional crouching, kneeling, and crawling.
- Repetitive movements and manual dexterity are necessary for installation and maintenance tasks.
- Proficient use of power and hand tools is required.
