Position Overview

Sunbelt Rentals, a leader in the rental industry in Canada, is looking for a Heavy Equipment Service Technician to enhance our operational capabilities. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce, with a strong emphasis on supporting military veterans.

Key Responsibilities

The Heavy Equipment Service Technician will be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance and performing repairs on various equipment at customer sites. Our fleet includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and specialized equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, and HVAC systems. When not engaged in field service, the technician will assist in shop operations. Participation in an on-call rotation is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required; trade school or equivalent training is preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanics, particularly with diesel or heavy construction equipment, is strongly preferred
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Physical Requirements

This role involves physical activities such as bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The technician will work both indoors and outdoors as required.
