Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Library Technician at Wazoson Public School. The successful candidate will provide technical and public services, and perform various duties related to library operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize, maintain, select, order, and circulate print and non-print materials
  • Provide reference services, research, and prepare support materials for units of study
  • Perform public relations, supervisory, and clerical activities
  • Operate and maintain library software
  • Schedule classes/small groups and prioritize concurrent tasks and deadlines
Requirements
  • Diploma in Library and Information Technician, and 1 to 2 years of library experience
  • Understanding of cataloguing and classification systems
  • Research skills and proficiency in computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, and databases)
  • Ability to work in both English and French is an asset
