Director of Correctional Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to fill the position of Director at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre. As a key member of the Custody Services Division, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility and ensuring the safety and security of offenders, staff, and the community.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of correctional professionals to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve facility operations, reduce recidivism rates, and enhance community safety.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and law enforcement, to promote public safety and support offender reintegration.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, and maintain a culture of accountability and professionalism within the facility.
- Proven leadership experience in a correctional or similar environment, with a strong track record of success in managing teams and driving results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of correctional theories, practices, and interventions, as well as experience in program development and strategic planning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
