About the Role

As a key member of the Fraser Health team, the Project Director, mNPR Implementation will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of the Ministry of Health's Nursing Practice Reform (mNPR) initiative. This position will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to the Executive Director, Clinical Lead mNPR Implementation, and the Fraser Health mNPR Project Leadership Team.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Expertise: Provide effective leadership and expert advice to support the implementation of mNPR across nursing practice areas in Fraser Health, in accordance with Ministry of Health policy direction.
  2. Implementation Planning and Execution: Execute priority tasks from the mNPR implementation plan, ensuring timely reporting and monitoring as required.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Promote mNPR as an attribute of a compassionate quality learning environment, and foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including union representatives, operational leadership, and data analytics teams.
  4. Project Management: Guide and lead assigned areas from the mNPR implementation project team, and act as a liaison across nursing practice areas to ensure seamless implementation.
  5. Communication and Reporting: Provide implementation progress reports, identify barriers and risks, and report findings to the Fraser Health mNPR Project Leadership Team.
  6. Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with key partners, including union representatives, and services, such as Staffing Services, Human Resources, and Strategic Transformation, to implement, monitor, report, and evaluate mNPR.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Engage nurses, nursing leaders, and union representatives in the continuous improvement of the mNPR implementation, workplace culture, and quality of nursing care.
  8. Risk Management: Identify implementation barriers and risks, propose mitigating solutions, and escalate concerns for problem-solving.
  9. Implementation and Sustainment: Support approaches to implement and sustain mNPR, including enabling nursing contribution to team-based care, engaging the patient voice in process and quality improvement actions, and ensuring a focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the workplace process improvement actions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Nursing, with at least 10 years of recent experience in a complex healthcare environment, including 5 years of progressive project and/or change management leadership experience. The candidate will also demonstrate the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework, including being Clear, Caring, and Courageous, and creating conditions for people to succeed.
