Position Overview

Role Summary

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The TAS division is embarking on several intricate, organization-wide projects as part of RBC's strategic initiative to enhance technology governance and IT RISK management throughout the enterprise. We are looking for a proactive professional who is eager to take charge, provide outstanding client service, and become a dependable asset to our team.

In this position, you will be tasked with the strategic planning and management of successful execution of the aforementioned initiatives. The role will involve coordinating, developing, leading, communicating, and executing activities to ensure that objectives are met in a timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement continuous integration and monitoring systems for both internally-developed and third-party applications.
  • Employ infrastructure-as-code methodologies to ensure consistent and reproducible environments.
  • Develop and configure DevOps pipelines utilizing Jenkins and Git Actions, integrating with RBC Helios pipelines.
  • Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and mentor the team on enhancing their codebase.
  • Assist operational teams with ongoing issues, including investigation, documentation, and incident management.
  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows to optimize software delivery and infrastructure management processes using established tools and technology stack.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Ansible Tower.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Proficient in Server Operating Systems including Linux, Unix, and Windows Server.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy (UCD), and Git Actions.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift, Azure, PCF, and managing Windows/Linux virtual machines.
  • Knowledge of Container Platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a matrix organization, particularly within a large, publicly-traded company.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer).
  • AWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solution Architect, SysOps Administrator).
  • Strategic mindset with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across various functions and business units.
