Role Summary

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The TAS division is embarking on several intricate enterprise-wide projects as part of RBC's strategic initiative to enhance technology governance and IT risk management across the organization. We are looking for a proactive professional who is eager to take charge, provide outstanding client service, and become a dependable asset to our team.

In this position, you will be tasked with the strategic planning and management of successful project execution. The role involves coordinating, developing, leading, communicating, and executing activities to ensure that objectives are met in a timely manner.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Designing and implementing deployment pipelines and monitoring systems for both internally developed and third-party applications.
  • Utilizing infrastructure-as-code methodologies to maintain consistent and reproducible environments.
  • Developing and configuring DevOps pipelines using Jenkins and Git Actions, integrating with RBC Helios pipelines.
  • Staying updated with the latest technologies and mentoring the team on codebase enhancements.
  • Assisting operational teams with ongoing issues, including investigation, documentation, and incident management.
  • Overseeing CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows to optimize software delivery and infrastructure management processes using established tools and technologies.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED?

Essential Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Ansible Tower.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Familiarity with server operating systems including Linux, Unix, and Windows Server.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy (UCD), and Git Actions.
  • Practical knowledge of OpenShift, Azure, PCF, and working with Windows/Linux virtual machines.
  • Experience with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a matrixed environment, such as a large publicly traded corporation.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer).
  • AWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator).
  • Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across functions and business units.
