Recreation Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist to join our collaborative healthcare team. As a member of our team, you will provide support to patients, families, and inter-professional team members through therapeutic intervention to promote holistic functioning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing intervention plans, and providing evidence-informed interventions in an inpatient, outpatient, or community setting. You will work closely with the Program Manager to oversee the delivery of recreation therapy services and ensure that interventions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
About YouWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Therapist who possesses a Bachelor of Recreation specializing in Therapeutic Recreation and is certified by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. You will have a strong understanding of organizational therapeutic recreation assessments and processes, as well as comprehensive program planning and risk management strategies.

Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will be compensated at a rate of $42.01 per hour and may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
