Rehabilitation Support Specialist

The Rehabilitation Support Specialist will assist both the occupational therapist and physiotherapist within inpatient rehabilitation and complex transitional care units. This role involves facilitating the progress of patients dealing with acute and intricate medical conditions under the guidance of licensed therapists.
Required Qualifications
Halton Healthcare is looking for dedicated professionals who excel in their field; prioritize patient and customer satisfaction; work well in teams; communicate effectively; and demonstrate compassion and respect.
- Completion of an accredited OT/PTA Certificate program
- Preferred: Minimum of one year experience in an acute care environment
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional patient care across medical, surgical, neurological, and geriatric populations
- Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and a passion for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Capable of fulfilling the physical demands associated with a moderately strenuous role
- Strong verbal communication abilities
- Positive attendance and work history
The ideal candidate will excel in providing patient-centered care within a dynamic and fast-paced setting, showcasing readiness to implement change and foster innovation. Strong communication skills with a clear focus on patient needs, along with the ability to manage tasks effectively and promote teamwork, are essential.
Additional Information
Work Schedule: Various rotating shifts from Monday to Sunday, subject to operational requirements.
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage.
