Location: Fort McMurray, AB

CB Canada is seeking a dedicated Scheduler to join our operations in Fort McMurray. Reporting directly to the Operations Centre Manager, the Scheduler will oversee the daily allocation of drivers and route assignments to meet service demands. This position will also involve collaboration with various departments including operations, training, and human resources.

Work Schedule

The working hours for this role are from Sunday to Thursday, comprising 8-hour shifts (specific times to be confirmed).

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign drivers to routes and manage work schedules effectively.
  • Evaluate scheduling data to generate necessary reports and communicate findings to the Operations Centre Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records using the HASTUS scheduling system.
  • Address routing challenges in partnership with the Operations Management Team.
  • Coordinate bus schedules to support daily operations and special service requests.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations in service delivery.
  • Keep both manual and digital records, including scheduling documents and reports, organized and up-to-date.
  • Assess scheduling requests, driver availability, and other relevant data to define scheduling parameters.
  • Guarantee timely and cost-effective completion of all schedules.
  • Develop, adjust, or integrate existing schedules to account for peak travel times, holidays, special events, and construction, focusing on efficiency in time and cost.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years' experience in customer service, logistics, data management, scheduling, records administration, ERP, or database management.
  • A university or college diploma is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with transportation scheduling software or ERP systems is essential.
  • Familiarity with HASTUS is a plus.
  • Experience in dispatching is beneficial.
