Logistics Supervisor Job Description

BEST CHOICE TRUCKING LTD is seeking a skilled Logistics Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on logistics performance and operations.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Recruit and hire staff, train workers in duties and policies, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures, and plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization.
  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives, including mentorship programs for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.

Requirements:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in logistics or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with 44 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
