Position Overview: As a Lead IT Architecture Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and leveraging emerging technologies and innovative business methodologies to enhance organizational effectiveness. Your expertise will guide the design of comprehensive solutions tailored to the requirements of extensive projects or programs, aligning with both current and future architectural frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a principal advisor and subject matter expert for an architecture team, overseeing large-scale, specialized initiatives that have a significant impact on the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to specialists and business partners in the strategic planning, development, execution, and monitoring of critical mandates under your purview. Facilitate consensus among diverse stakeholders by delivering clear and structured technical guidelines.
  • Enhance your unit's strategic initiatives by formulating and refining policies, standards, architectural objectives, and foundational technologies, considering the implications for data, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Identify, assess, and resolve major challenges. Develop strategic recommendations for decision-making bodies and committees.
  • Represent your unit in discussions with senior management and key decision-making groups.
  • Negotiate and advocate for Desjardins's interests in agreements with external partners and organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of eight years of pertinent experience in the field.
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in French is mandatory.
  • Advanced English language skills are essential due to the nature of the role and interactions with English-speaking stakeholders.
