Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate buses or streetcars to transport students.

  • Emergency Procedures: Guide passengers during emergency evacuations.

  • Documentation: Complete necessary logbooks and reports.
  • Safety Assurance: Ensure the safety of children while boarding, disembarking, and crossing streets.
  • Student Management: Maintain control of student behavior during transit to uphold safety standards.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Licenses: Class 2/2F/C Licence and School Bus Endorsement are required.
  • First Aid: Valid First Aid Certificate.
Experience Requirements
  • Previous Experience: 1 to 2 years as a school bus driver is preferred.
  • Local Travel: Familiarity with local routes is essential.
