Operations Worker III

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking individuals to create an inventory for existing and future casual snow fighter opportunities in the Highway Maintenance Crews within the Saint John District during winter operations.

**Job Summary:**

The successful candidates will be assigned to winter operations (November to April) and will be responsible to operate and maintain a one-person plow and will also perform other related winter tasks per procedures set by the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Operate and maintain a one-person plow
  • Perform other related winter tasks per procedures set by the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure

**Essential Qualifications:**

  • Completion of grade ten (10)
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the operation of heavy construction equipment
  • Valid New Brunswick Class 3 driver's license with endorsement for air brakes

**Asset Qualification:**

  • One-Person Plow certification

**Operational Requirements:**

  • Working on weekends
  • Shift work and/or variable hours

**Salary:** $20.30 per hour bi-weekly, based on a 40-hour work week.
