About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Care Assistant to join our team at the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend emergency calls and provide support to paramedics and other healthcare professionals
  • Record patients' vital signs and provide hands-on support in CPR and resuscitation
  • Assist with the safe moving and handling of patients, using mechanical equipment and handling devices as needed
  • Drive ambulances in emergency and non-emergency situations, using advanced driving skills and adhering to safety protocols
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and restock supplies as required

Requirements

  • Five GCSEs at grade C or equivalent, or significant relevant work experience
  • Ability to attend emergency care and blue light driver training
  • Full UK/EU driving licence with C1 entitlement or Provisional C1 Licence
  • Basic IT knowledge and skills, as well as excellent communication and teamwork abilities
