Job Summary:
The Sous Chef will provide support to the Executive Chef in the preparation and implementation of daily menus, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and preparation
- Lead the culinary team in the absence of the Executive Chef
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless service during lunch hours
- Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensure proper rotation and labeling of all foodstuffs
- Follow established work methods and use designated products and equipment
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a food service environment
- Knowledge of food hygiene and sanitation techniques
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- MAPAQ Food Handler certification an asset
