Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Fraser Plastics Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Co-ordination and Planning: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit regular reports to management, providing insights into warehouse performance and areas for improvement.
- Maintenance and Repair: Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, and develop staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Work Scheduling and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
- Operational Logistics: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the warehouse, including inventory management and shipping/receiving.
You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 people, with the potential to expand to 5-10 people as the business grows.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities- Work Environment: You will be working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and requiring attention to detail.
- Weight Handling: You will be required to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and up to 23 kg (50 lbs) on a regular basis.
- Accurate and Reliable: You must be accurate and reliable in your work, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You must have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: You must be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities.
- Team Player: You must be a team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and management to achieve business objectives.
